SPIRITED BIRTH SERVICES

Taryn Goodwin, CPM, LM, ASM
She/Her

Throughout the pregnancy and births of her children, Taryn developed an immense passion for pregnancy and birth. Taryn believes that every low risk family should have access to the midwifery model of care, should they desire. Taryn strives to keep the balance between holistic and modern midwifery saying: “Good midwifery care is a balance of knowing when to sit on your hands and when to use them.”

Taryn graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Midwives College of Utah and is a Certified Professional Midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives. Taryn has current certification for CPR and certification as a Neonatal Resuscitation Provider co-sponsored by the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Taryn is also committed to having an inclusive midwifery practice supporting all families including BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), LGBTQ+ family units, solo parents and more. Taryn recognizes the systemic injustice in our modern healthcare system and wishes to be an ally for change.

Taryn is a founder and co-owner of the Oklahoma City Birth Center.

WILLOW BIRTH SERVICES

Brandy Harris, Midwife
She/Her

Brandy’s goal is to provide those she serves with warm, family-centered,  evidence-based care. Brandy believes that pregnancy, labor, birth and  breastfeeding are physiological events and a part of the natural & beautiful moments in life that can be enriched with exceptional prenatal care, the education you desire, support and the right care team.

Brandy feels strongly that each pregnancy and birth is unique to each  person and should be treated as such. Brandy believes that all babies are whole, conscious, feeling, beings and should be treated gently, with love and consideration before, during and after their birth and, in the absence of special circumstances, that birth, if left to unfold in its own time, happens the way that nature has designed; perfectly. Brandy is also a founder and co-owner of the Oklahoma City Birth Center.

LITTLE HOLLOW MIDWIFERY

Kennedy Logan, LM, CPM
They, them-she, her

Kennedy's journey into midwifery began in 2015 when they attended a home birth.  They were completely awestruck by the power of birth, and the space held by the midwife.  They began their formal midwifery training in 2019 at Birthwise Midwifery School in Bridgton Maine.  In 2021, they moved to Boston to work with a busy home birth practice serving the metro area.  In Boston, Kennedy was able to provide care for diverse families and family structures. They graduated from midwifery school in May 2022, and gained their CPM shortly after.  After moving back home to Oklahoma in August of 2022, Kennedy became a licensed midwife in Oklahoma.

Kennedy’s goal is to allow their clients to feel safe, seen, and supported during their care.  They value relationship building during care so that clients are able to be their authentic selves.  Kennedy believes that pregnancy and birth can be transformative physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and hopes to create a supportive environment for all their clients.  Care with Kennedy is collaborative; they utilize evidence while also valuing the lived experiences of their clients to develop a care plan that is individual for each of their clients.
